National Release
Sunday, February 15, 2009
Grand Slam Garage Sales is glad to announce that we're adding a moving service to our other services. After noticing that over 75% of our garage sale customers are moving, we decided it would be smart to add a moving service. Our moving service like our other services is named cleverly, we call it our...Major League Moving service.
We're designing the moving service to help our customers in many ways so feel free to check out the Major League Moving service information on our website for more information.
Grand Slam Garage Sales info/CEO has big plans
Houston, TX Release
Thursday, October 16, 2008
Grand Slam Garage Sales LLC, is a company that specializes in making garage sales easy for their customers. We offer start-to-finish services such as verbally pricing items, advertising for the garage sale, managing the garage sale, and making sure that the property-holder is left with a cleaned-out garage and a junk-free home. Grand Slam Garage Sales LLC also provides a Clean Sweep Item Removal service where items are removed from the customer’s property and brought to Goodwill in exchange for a donation receipt, which the homeowner may use to apply for a tax write-off. After the Item Removal, the customer’s garage will be cleaned out. An additional and synergistic service that Grand Slam Garage Sales LLC provides is the Pinch Hit Pressure Washing of driveways and garages to remove dirt and old stains.
The company advertises for the sale, sets up the sale, runs the sale, and brings all unsold items to Goodwill to get the customer a tax write off donation receipt. Also, the company has a Clean Sweep Item Removal and a Pinch Hit Pressure Washing service.
The average revenue at a Grand Slam sale is over $750 and Grand Slam’s most successful sale made $2,284. Since we started, we have serviced over 150 jobs in the Houston area - West U, Bellaire, SW Houston, Heights, Memorial basically everywhere in the Houston and surrounding areas.
This year our Founder and CEO, Ben Weissenstein, went off to college to the University of Arizona to study Entrepreneurship. There, he is focusing on franchising GSGS across the country. By May of 2009 we hope to begin franchising across the country.
Presently, he handed over the Houston operations to Kegan Blumenthal and another manager Max Tribolet. Both managers are Juniors in high school. Their main job is making sure all the operations run smoothly; including advertising, customer relations, booking customers, scheduling workers, figuring out profit, etc.
The economy has actually helped us a lot but the more press the better. In the past, people have found it refreshing and exciting to read about high school kids doing it right. Even the New York Times has caught on to the garage sale craze and has written an article about how garage sales are booming during the recession. We are at the front of the garage sale game!
